Do awnings matter?

Le Meridien at Phuket think so….. Shades recently designed and installed a series of tensioned fabric awnings on the charming Pakarang Restaurant building located in the middle of the huge beachside swimming pool.

The result….?  More seating area for dining, more protection from the wet season’s rain storms and the dry season’s tropical sun, and a stunning facelift for one of Phuket’s resort icons!

Our mission: awnings that look great, preserve and enhance the best features of the building's looks, and provide diners with year-round shelter

"Barrel vault" awning design along both sides of the indoor-outdoor restaurant. All components of the design were pre-fabricated at Shades' Phuket factory and installed in just a few days without the need for messy on-site metal work

A free-standing barrel vault was chosen for the entrance to blend with the main awnings design
